If the BT8xx is configured in HID proxy mode, how can it connect to a classic HID keyboard and mouse in Windows 8?

Last Updated: Jan 29, 2014 09:43AM EST

With the BT8xx device, the customer must decide which mode (by Pskeys) to use during power up (for example, in the BIOS screen). If it is configured to start in HID mode, BT8xx can connect to a BLE keyboard and mouse.

When Windows 8 is loaded and it detects HID mode BT8XX, Windows 8 can ‘switch’ the BT8xx into a HCI device temporarily which allows you to use the BT8xx like a regular BT HCI device.
