FAQ: Is it true that the only feature difference between a central role device and a peripheral role device is that the central device can initiate a pairing event?

This is not true. Central devices are also the only ones that can initiate a connection, scan for other devices, start a connection parameter negotiation, and perform other exclusive functions.
